More About The Canoeing Travel Day:

On Wednesday (day subject to change due to weather) campers will travel by bus to the Flint River.  The group will make their way down about seven miles of river on this trip stopping along the way for lunch and some rock skipping.  Trees along the river provide wonderful places to jump and rope swing from.  Swift, curvy sections present new opportunities to learn to steer.  It's a great feeling to finally make your canoe go where you want it!

More about Rock Climbing at Palisades Park

On Thursday, campers will travel to Palisades Park climbing area near Oneonta, AL. This is a quality climbing area close to Huntsville with a variety of routes to match different climbing levels.  This climbing area sits on a wooded hillside. Shade from the trees provide a welcome refuge from the hot sun.  One important aspect of climbing is learning to overcome fear and control emotion.  Finding new levels of inner control along with the thrill of the climb makes this day a truly rewarding experience.  A nearby swimming hole is a fun place to cool off on the way home.

More About The Little River Canyon Travel Day:

On Friday, campers will travel by bus directly from the Books-A-Million pickup to Little River Canyon, near Ft. Payne, Alabama.  Where they will have a picnic lunch and enjoy a day of adventure.  The canyon is deep, beautiful, wild and feels very remote.  Campers will hike down to the bottom of the canyon to climb and jump from huge boulders into deep swimming holes.  There are also rapids, which can provide hours of fun.  A day in Little River Canyon is a spiritual experience that invites people of all ages, to connect with nature and their Creator.
